Meet The Team: Sarah - Florist
Introducing Sarah, one of our wonderful Beija Flor florists.
I'm Sarah, a florist originally from Lincolnshire, UK. I started my career as an Archaeologist, but moved into floristry and have been creating for nearly a decade. I began in Europe, freelancing across the UK, Italy and France, before managing the Rebel Rebel shop in Hackney, London. I moved to Australia in 2019 and haven't looked back!
Favourite Flower?
My absolute favourites are bearded iris. I also love clematis, garden roses and anemones. My style is wild, textured and free flowing. I adore colour, especially purples and bright pinks.
Best Advice as a Creative?
Explore and find inspiration from other creatives, it's always productive to educate yourself before finding your own, unique path.
Favourite Location in Darwin?
During the day, probably East Point for the amazing views and croc free swimming. At night, Trader Bar or Babylons, depending on the vibe. Further afield, then Buley rockholes down in Litchfield. Just stunning.
