Darwin Dry Season
The dry season is well and truly underway and we are very much enjoying the cooler mornings and evenings, it also means that our wedding season is underway and the studio is filling up with flowers throughout the week for the weekends weddings.
Driving out of town the turkey bush is flowering all alongside the highway, which always reminds us of creating this three metre tall turkey bush installation. This was a relaxed 'rural retreat' with the girls from Two Seasons Co. We had a lot of fun, good food and drinks (in case you noticed the beer, I don't usually drink at work). This was a unique Territory experience with us all camping out with our families and kids. You can see the results beautifully captured by Jess Littlejohn of Timeless Paige in our portfolio.
This year we are stocking a selection of locally grown flowers, which are lovingly grown and nurtured at the spray and pesticide free farm of Mia Cossar from The Northern Larder (formerly Notly Farms). These are not your usual tropical flowers like heliconias and gingers, but more flowery varieties such as amaranthus, cosmos and zinnias. We would love to create a wedding with entirely locally grown product for a truly unique territory inspired style.
