Our New and Permanent Studio
It's been just over a month since we moved into our permanent studio at 2 Tang Street, Coconut Grove. Everyone loved our pop up container store at Casuarina Square, it had a really cute boutique feel. However, it just didn't have the space and access that we needed to get all work done. Plus our cool room was still under my house along with all our hire vases and props.
So we took the big step to move out from Casuarina and from under my house and bring everything together to our floral studio. It was a spur of the moment decision, the recent cyclone Marcus had left a fallen tree on top of the cool room. It was nerve racking getting everything moved and set up, as we still had all of our regular and online orders to take care of and two small children to look after. Luckily the cool room survived the journey and is much happier in our new warehouse.
Two weeks in we completed our first wedding set up at the Trailer Boat Club, prepping our table centrepieces in our new space was a dream, this is when I realised what a great space we now have to work from, spacious, air conditioned and filled with natural light, and just minutes from many of the venues we service, places like Pee Wees, the Botanic Gardens and the MAGNT.
Our future brides (and grooms) can sit down with us here, while we dream up beautiful floral decorations for their weddings. We have Ruby Gs next door for great coffee and all of our hire items are just out the back, we can play around with different vessels and flower combinations and come up with something perfect.
There are so many possibilities, we are looking to stock a range of interior plants in funky containers the space is an ideal place to host floral design workshops (watch this space).
We do miss the friends we made at The Quarter, (we've included an offer code on the website so you can still get free delivery to shops and businesses at Casuarina Square, code CASSQ) and I will miss working from home a little, but really, really happy to be in our new place. We hope you'll pop in and say hello and maybe even buy some flowers!
