Meet the Team: Mary - Florist

Introducing Mary, our Full Time Florist. You will find her most days making gorgeous customer orders and always has a smile on her face.

Born and raised in Darwin, graduated in 2017 and started as a courier in 2018, moved into retail floristry and did her apprenticeship in 2020, graduated in 2021. Moved to Adelaide and worked in a popular florist for a year before returning to Darwin to be closer to my family and break into floral event industry.

First job she told her mum she wanted to do was be a florist.

Favourite Flower?

It changes with the seasons but I would say it's currently the beautiful South Australian Dahlias or Hydrangea.

Favourite task?

Curating unique wedding florals for beautiful couples and helping to create lasting memories!

Best advice as a creative?

Trust your gut. It’s not often the things you choose will look bad together.

Where do you like to go in Darwin?

Markets. Parap, Nightcliff, Mindil, all of them are beautiful and she loves supporting Darwin locals (bonus points if I can walk along the beach afterwards).
